April 2019 Meeting

Maine Romance Writers is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting romance and other fiction writers via networking and programming. Through monthly meetings and workshops, we strive to provide continuing assistance in the journey to publication, whether by a traditional path, a small press, or independent publishing.

Our next meeting is Saturday, April 20th at the USM Campus in Lewiston, Maine.

 Facebook ads for Beginners:
For those just starting out with Facebooks ads, we will look at what they are, where you should start, what the heck all the terms mean, how to set up an audience, and what a pixel is and why you need one. We will also look at how to read the analytics and how to set up the reports for what you really need to look at to see if your ad is working. I will also leave you with a list of resources and classes that can take you to the next level.

Ex-Dragon keeper and historical romance author of three published novels, Clair Brett lives in her empty nest in NH with her hard-working husband. Her office staff during the day consists of a collection of fur-babies that see to it she gets her exercise and doesn’t sit too long at a one time.
A former middle and high school English teacher, Clair has had a lifetime love affair with reading. She began pursuit of publication when she was a new mother in need of a hobby that didn’t consist of diapers. Her oldest daughter and mama to the bearded dragon grand pet is off to serve in the Air National Guard as a medic, so you do the math. Clair is a firm believer that a reader finds a piece of who they are or learns something about the world with every book they read. She wants her readers to be empowered and to have a refreshed belief in the goodness of people and the power of love after reading her work.
Since joining her local RWA chapter she has served almost every year on the board in some position. She has done everything from PRO Liaison to President (twice). You can find more about Clair by visiting her website:
